Buongiorno! E’ ufficialmente terminato il My Small Package Tour.
L’ultimo show è finito poche ore fa dal The Social di Orlando, FL.
I ragazzi inizieranno il tour brasiliano il 19 Gennaio 2011 da Rio De Janeiro.

A quanto pare non sara’ rilasciato l’ipotizzato EP “Monster In Me“, di cui vi parlammo nei giorni scorsi in questo precedente articolo, in quanto i rumors a riguardo sono risultati falsi.
La notizia e’ segnalata da PropetyOfZack, in un articolo riportante queste parole:

Rumors have been flying the past few days that All Time Low had been planning to release an EP titled Monsters In Me in January to make fans happy for the delay of Dirty Work, but the rumors have been proven to be false.

gli Escape The Fate han da poco comunicato che non parteciperanno al tour europeo dei Bullet For My Valentine, che iniziera’ questo finesettimana, per permettere al bassista Max Green di disintossicarsi da alchool e droga.

In ogni caso, il tour europeo e’ stato solo posticipato di qualche mese, infatti la band ha intenzione di realizzarlo all’inizio del prossimo anno.

Di seguito il comunicato stampa:

Santa Monica, California, November 12, 2010 – Escape The Fate will not be joining Bullet For My Valentine on their European tour that kicks off this weekend in Helsinki, Finland. Instead the band will remain in the states to support their band mate, bassist Max Green, as he enters an undisclosed rehab for drug and alcohol addiction.

“Max needs his friends and family by his side, so we’re not gonna leave him,” says lead singer Craig Mabbitt. “Max is one of my best friends and has never done this band wrong in any way shape or form. It’s very honorable of him to admit he has a problem and wants to seek help for the longevity of his life and this band. I’m so sorry to the fans, but so proud of Max. He needs our love and support through this rough time in his life, so let’s give it to him. Our soldiers never let us down and we will be back to play Europe and the two London dates very soon. We love you guys.”

Escape The Fate will headline a string of European dates in early 2011. Tickets for the two London headline shows that were scheduled for December 6th and 7th at the Islington Academy will be honored when these shows are rescheduled early next year. Check www.escapethefate.com for updates.

Secondo Wikipedia, il quarto album degli All Time Low si chiamerà Monster In Me, uscirà a Gennaio e sarà pubblicato da Interscope e sarà l’anticipazione del quinto album di debutto che uscirà nel 2011 chiamato Dirty Work.

Secondo voi, è tutto vero?

Innanzitutto da quel che ho potuto capire dalle risposte che mi sono arrivate e dalle ricerche sulle vecchie pagine web, una volta la band non si chiamava BVB ma (indovinate?) Biersack. Fondata nel 2006 da Andy a Cincinnati, Ohio, assieme al chitarrista Johnny Herold e al bassista Phil Cenedella si è poi aggiunto il batterista Chris Craven.

Dopo un periodo di stop, nel quale da Los Angeles, Andy torna a Cincinnati, il frontman viene contattato dal vecchio chitarrista Johnny che vuole fare rivivere la vecchia band. Nascono così i Black Veil Brides: Andy, Chris, Phil e Nate, che proviene da una band chiamata Last Reaction e rimpiazza Johnny alla chitarra. Con il tempo iniziano i tanto confusionari cambi di formazione: il batterista Chris abbandona e viene soppiantato da Mike, il bassista Phil da Bobby e infine si aggiunge Mark Singleton come seconda chitarra e Kevin alla tastiera.

Kevin e Nate in particolare sono stati importantissimi per la band: Kevin ha scritto le parti al piano di Devil For Me, Hello My Hate, Gunsling e Sex and Hollywood, musica e testi sono di Nate Shipp a eccezione dei ritornelli di Sex And Hollywood e Devil For Me , che sono stati scritti da Andy. Ecco la testimonianza del gentilissimo Mark:

I think it was a little of both I guess, because originally it was just Nate then I was added a few months later as that extra element which worked out till Nate left then it was just me Bob and Andy and that’s when we found Chris and Zachy……and everything took off from there.

Da queste parole si capisce che a un certo punto Nate lascia la band. Ecco le parole di Andy del lontano 2007 riguardo a ciò:

Nate’s thoughts were and still are as I understand it that I was asking too much and our songs needed to take more time…which is valid and I can see the logic in that…but the fact remained that BVB was coming to a surprising and screeching halt. It has now been more than a month since Nate and I have spoken, and recently he wrote Bobby to inform us of he and Kevin leaving BVB, this did not come as a shock to any of us and in fact was just good to finally have something official

Sarà andata veramente così? Non lo sappiamo. Con la partenza di Nate e Kevin i BVB rimangono in tre: Andy, Mark e Bobby. Evidentemente nel frattempo anche Mike, il batterista, se ne è andato poiché nel corso dell’anno (siamo tra fine 2007 e inizio 2008 se ho capito bene) arrivano Chris Stewart alla chitarra e Zachy alla batteria.

Facciamo quindi un riassunto in ordine temporale degli ex membri sicuri nel periodo dal 2006 al 2008:

Johnny Herold – chitarra.

Phil Cenedella (alias Phil Catalyst) – basso.

Chris Riesenberg (alias Chris Craven) – batteria.

Nate Shipp – chitarra a sostituzione di Johnny.

Mike Stamper – batteria a sostituzione di Chris.

Robert Thomas (alias Bobby Badass) – basso a sostituzione di Phil.

Mark Singleton – seconda chitarra.

Kevin Harris- tastiere

Zach Riegler (alias Zachy Heartless) – batteria in sostituzione di Mike

Christhopher Curbstomp (alias Chris Stewart) – chitarra in sostituzione di Nate.

In tutto ciò, ancora non sono capace di collocare Jaymz, chitarrista, Copper (un fantomatico ex bassista si dice sia morto in un incidente d’auto) e un terzo ragazzo, Matthew Wayne Smith, che mi ha contattata dicendo di aver suonato in passato nei BVB come batterista.

Per ora è tutto! Se scopro di avere sbagliato qualcosa vi informerò e se gli ex membri saranno d’accordo vi darò i loro contatti.
